Job Description

The Associate Buyer will directly support the purchasing function for our MATI division. In this role, you’ll assist with all aspects of the sourcing and purchasing function. As a valuable buying team member, you will help drive the import/export shipping processes, including vendor selection, order processing, and shipment reconciliation. You’ll also work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Logistics, Demand Planning, and Customer Service while ensuring timely delivery of our high-quality products.

Pay Range $55,450 - $66,550

Principle Responsibilities

• Participate in evaluating and selecting potential vendors by analyzing submitted quotes and stated capabilities.
• Study market trends and facilitate introductory conversations with potential vendors to narrow the search.
• Establish and maintain a Materials Master in SAP.
• Prepare and place purchase orders within the current vendor network.
• Review shipping processes and associated paperwork. Reconcile discrepancies with internal and external partners to create accurate shipping notifications.
• Maintain pertinent departmental records and files. Generate routine reports for leadership review.
• Assume special assignments as required.

• Highly organized, results driven and an ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Software: Excel, Word and Power Point.
• Analytical skills to understand the correlation among sales history, market demand and forecast, then make sound procurement decision.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• One year of intern experience preferred.
• Ability to speak Mandarin is a plus.
