Job Description
Position Overview:
Flender Corporation, as part of its Winergy branded business, located in Elgin, IL is seeking a qualified and energetic Associate After Sales Officer that will assist department activities (definition of schedule, budget, risk, change, opportunity and resource allocation management) for semi-complex projects. This position acts as functional or business practice support resource on projects or programs, participates in continuous improvement activities, support sales activities by enhancing client relations, and communicate technical and commercial items with clients.
• This position is customer facing and supports our product in operation throughout the lifecycle.
• Ensures customer satisfaction through timely response providing warranty and/or technical support.
• This position is within the Aftersales team reporting to the AfterSales Manager.
Responsibilities:
• Support with customer complaints within product warranty period and technical support throughout the product lifecycle with opportunity for responsibility of an OEM customer
• Collaborates within the global Aftersales organization and provides reporting updates as required.
• Processes Customer requests for warranty support.
• Assist / conducts root cause analysis.
• Determines repair scope of product.
• Provides technical support to customers and cross-functional teams.
• Support the coordination and visibility of internal (in-house) repair of warranty units.
• Actively manages NCC (non-conformance costs)
• Help prepare necessary project accrual estimates and compares to actual data.
• Promote product improvement through feedback to quality, production, finance, sales, and engineering organizations.
• Field Service Activities create RFQ’s for CSP services, and if needed, evaluate bids and award CSP for services. Align with Order Management to support requisitions, orders, and invoice reconciliation. Review and / or generate field reports and aligning on RCA items.
• Communicate status of field service activities to appropriate team members in a timely manner.
• Reviewing inspection data, pictures and abnormalities with some ability to make recommendations based on these findings in agreement with affiliates.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:
- Associates Degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 2 year of experience in wind turbine gearboxes / windfarm operation / service environment
- Minimum 2 year of mechanical experience.
- Required computer skills:
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Problem solving
- Effective communication, both written and verbal
- Ability to analyze customer’s technical specifications, drawings and data comprehension.
- Team player with ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks.
- 10% travel required.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:
- Knowledge of SAP
