YOUR ROLE

We are searching for our next Assistant Buyer to assist our One Marketplace team with implementation, monitoring and stewardship of national video/broadcast schedules.  This role is a great entry-level opportunity to those passionate about learning buying (and planning) of media across the advertising industry. 

Assistant Buyers are educated on the media landscape by their peers, as well as formalized training, developing communication skills, tackling media math, and learn various media buying and research approaches. A successful Assistant is motivated, organized, and holds themselves accountable. An inquisitive brain, they are eager to learn about the media industry and their clients.  A naturally curious mind, resourcefulness, a love for numbers and a passion for advertising are a must.   

Please note this role requires a candidate have proximity to our NY office and this is not a remote role. We offer a hybrid work setting with employees working onsite at our NYC office with flexibility to work from home.

  • Partner with the One Marketplace buying team to assist on planning/implementiPartner with the One Market place team to assist on planning/implementing both local and national media buys for a variety of clients.
  • Monitor and maintain schedules to ensure delivery to client goals and estimates
  • Handle reconciliation and billing deadlines and work with finance and accounts payable to streamline process and meet deadlines
  • Provide tracking reports and post-buy delivery analyses on quarterly and annual bases.
  • Handle requests for various clients, including data collection for information regarding television ratings/programming and industry/ marketplace/technology trends.
  • Assist and collaborate with Supervisors and Directors across accounts on budget allocation and goals

REQUIREMENTS 

  • 3-6 months + experience working in a TV/Radio Media buying role [highly preferred]
  • Previous media, marketing or advertising agency experience.
  • Strong Excel and number skills (a must)
  • Proficiency with Media Ocean, SQAD or related buying programs (preferred]
  • Highly organized and a proactive team member who is capable of juggling and multitasking.
  • A strong desire to build a career in Media.

Salary range is $43k - $48k. Commensurate with experience. Compensation is determined on skills, qualifications, certifications, industry tenure, and experience of the applicant.
