Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Assistant Director of Student Academic Services and Communication Manager, Davie Campus.

Summary of Responsibilities:
- Manages caseload of College of Business students
- Monitors student academic plans to provide timely, proactive outreach to ensure degree progress and timely graduation
- Coordinates and develops all College of Business orientations and internal/external events
- Assists in creating material/campaign efforts for student outreach in Navigate to enhance student communication efforts
- Ensures adequate staffing at orientations and events
- Monitors COB advising webpages and updates them with policy and program changes
- Reviews UUPC minutes and updates undergraduate program sheets
- Develops and maintains an online monthly calendar of events for the advisors as it pertains to student outreach efforts, orientations, external events
- Makes updates to advisor training manual, as needed
- Assists in overseeing day to day operations within the advising office on the Davie campus
- Assists the Director in leading program initiatives to ensure students are provided with the necessary support and advising that is centered on the needs of the student so they can be successful within their degree programs.
- Steps in, as necessary, to advise on programs of study and counseling on academic matters when a student is dissatisfied with their academic advising experience
- Attends weekly administrative team meetings focused on ensuring best practices within the advising unit and student success outcomes
- May function as the Director in their absence
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience required.
Master's degree from an accredited institution and seven years of University /Student Academic Services experience preferred.
Salary:
$70,000 per year.
