Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Stewardship and Engagement Events supports the Director in overseeing the logistics and execution of stewardship and engagement initiatives at Endicott College.
This position is central to planning and coordinating events, tracking donor engagement, managing acknowledgment processes, and ensuring consistent recognition of donor contributions and benefits. Through effective event management and stewardship practices, the Assistant Director fosters strong relationships with donors.
Key Outcomes
50% of Time: Event Logistics and Coordination

Plan and manage logistics for key advancement events, including individual cultivation dinners, campaign and fundraising events, the annual Endicott Societies Dinner, Grateful Gull Day, and other significant initiatives, ensuring smooth execution and high donor engagement.

Lead logistical planning for Endicott’s Giving Day, Homecoming & Reunion Weekend, Concours d’Elegance, and other significant events to ensure successful outcomes.

Maintain accurate records of event responses, attendance, and volunteer contributions in the College’s database to facilitate reporting and future planning.
30% of Time: Acknowledgment and Recognition Management

Ensure consistent and impactful recognition of Endicott’s donor societies.

Draft and manage customized acknowledgment letters, cards, and other communications, ensuring timely and personalized responses based on donor preferences and gift designations.

Collaborate with the Director to develop and implement recognition strategies that effectively celebrate donor contributions.
15% of Time: Reporting and Tracking

Assist in developing impact and endowed fund reports, ensuring all donor engagement activities are accurately recorded and reported.

Create and maintain a stewardship reporting system to track donor engagement metrics providing insights for enhancing future initiatives.

Regularly compile reports on event outcomes and donor engagement activities for review by the Director and other stakeholders.
5% of Time: Team Collaboration and Support

Work closely with the Director, individual gift officers, and campus partners to align stewardship efforts with the College's initiatives.

Participate in team meetings to provide updates on event planning and donor engagement activities, ensuring effective communication across departments.

Other duties as assigned, to support the overall mission of the Advancement Office and the college.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Bachelor's degree

Minimum of 3 years of experience in stewardship, donor relations, or event management, preferably in higher education.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, database and project management software, and CRM systems.

Excellent verbal and strong written communication skills, including comfort with public speaking.

Strong attention to detail and ability to quickly understand and retain project and donor information.

Must handle sensitive material confidentially.
