We are looking to add a new member to our Accounting team who will manage our monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and reporting. This role involves collaborating with various departments, preparing statutory financial statements, and filing tax returns. The ideal candidate will lead projects to improve financial processes, perform bookkeeping tasks, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities also include tax computations, liaising with external associates, and assisting with global projects.
As a Cognyter you will:
- Take part in the annual and quarterly global consolidation process for a US listed company, including day to day management of consolidated books and journals in Oracle and reviewing international reporting packs.
- Manage relationships with regional controllers and coordinate the flow of information between accounting, tax, business finance, and other areas of the business to ensure reporting deadlines are met.
- Take part in preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements and disclosures for SEC reporting purposes, including communication with auditors.
- Be a technical accounting expert on various corporate activities as well as coordinate with external auditors to ensure their concurrence with our accounting and reporting approaches.
- Take part in Revenue Recognition processes.
- Contribute towards additional corporate accounting tasks (e.g., Business Combinations, Share-Based Compensation, Goodwill & Intangibles)
Requirements
For that mission, you’ll need:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar position or in the professional services sector.
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA) with demonstrable technical financial accounting skills.
- Knowledge of accounting standards IFRS (US GAAP knowledge will be an advantage)
- Experience from one of the Big 4 accounting firms will be considered an advantage.
- Experience in working with ERP systems (Oracle would be considered an advantage).
- Fluent English- speaking, reading, and writing are a must.
