What you will do
As Assistant Controller, you will be a key member of our finance team, providing essential financial analysis that informs strategic decisions. You will dive into financial performance metrics, create accurate forecasts, and assist in budgeting processes, offering valuable recommendations to enhance profitability and operational effectiveness. You'll support our Europe and Middle-East Logistics and Distribution (L&D) organization by delivering timely and relevant financial insights on monthly performance, upcoming budgets, and operational initiatives.
Your role will involve financial management reporting, delivering clarity on operational metrics and their financial implications across 3 primary and 6 secondary distribution centers, overseeing $25 million in annual warehouse costs and $60 million in freight spending within the EMEA region.
How you will do it
• Develop detailed regional plans and forecasts
• Communicate and clarify forecast assumptions and methodologies to site and regional leadership
• Conduct thorough financial and operational analyses of regional results
• Assist with internal and external audits at distribution sites
• Provide financial insights into inventory management processes
• Offer financial support for cross-functional projects and business cases
• Contribute to the implementation of ERP systems.
What we look for
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance & Accounting
• Experience as controller, Financial Planning and Analysis or Financial Reporting
• Ability to analyse non-financial data effectively
• Previous experience in supporting internal and external audit processes
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Dutch and English
• Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly SAP, is a plus.
