Barstool Sports is hiring an Assistant for Big Cat. The Assistant will provide both personal, administrative and operational support to Big Cat’s daily schedule, and will act as the primary liaison across multiple teams including content, production, social as well as multiple business teams. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of executive assistant, social media enthusiast along with strong editing and excel capability. The ideal candidate will have a strong penchant for all things Sports and a full understanding of the internet. This person will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. This role is based in Chicago.
What You’ll Do
- Social Media Management
- Keep Big Cat informed daily on what’s trending in sports and across the social landscape
- Able to properly represent Big Cat as this role will have responsibility for managing all his social accounts
- Work with stats and data to tell a story to help drive social media performance
- Edit content for production
- Edit a variety of supercuts, best of’s, and montages across Big Cat franchises
- Craft alternate versions of content to optimize specific social media platform performance
- Apply graphic elements, color correction, subtitles, and audio mixing to videos
- Dive into and revamp old legacy content
- Maintain a consistent and organized workflow to ensure proper deadline delivery
- Manage the timeline of your projects from inception to delivery
- Collaborate with franchise producers/editors about their content schedules
- Executive Assistant
- Act as the point of contact across teams to streamline and filter
- Provide daily support, including but not limited to business and personal tasks
- Calendar management, set up meetings, schedule guests and work with office manager to ensure necessary space is booked when needed
- Plan travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, ground transportation, etc
What You’ll Bring
- 2 plus years experience in a similar role
- Must consume all four major sports and have a deep knowledge of each of them
- Vast and extensive knowledge of Barstool moments, history, and content in particular Big Cat’s content and PMT
- Detailed knowledge of social media, sports, pop culture, and current events
- Strong Technical skills video editing and social media
- Must pay close attention to detail and operate exhibiting good judgement and decision making
- Must maintain the utmost confidentiality
- Strong problem solving capability
- Excellent time management skills
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and the Adobe Creative Cloud
- Ability to editing specifically for social media platforms
- Experience having worked with talent, a plus
- Ability to succeed in a fast paced, around the clock work environment and comfortable working with ambiguity
- Strong communication (written and oral) as well as organizational and planning skill
Salary Range: $65,000-75,000k
