Assistant Accountant (Contract - 5months)
The role of the Assistant Accountant at Chanel is to reduce risk on financial statements and contribute to performance by processing in-charged jobs efficiently. It is mainly to make financial statements stable by reconciling invoices to control expenses.
Key Responsibilities:
Expenses management (Councur T&E)
Reconciliate and report the sales VAT
Review and post T&E journals
- Pay employees by verifying recharged amount is equal with attached receipt in travel and expense reports
- Check that expense is spent for business and reasonable to reimburse as per T&E policy
- Adjust T&E approval workflow as per the change of department and reassign to certain manager temporarily
Manage corporate card
- Issue and hand out the corporate card to newcomers and request the card company to update and change the information pay
General Ledger & Others
Expenses ledger management
- Prepare accrual expenses journal
- Review expenses dimension combination during the closing period
- Update finance statements sub-files
- Reconcile TB vs F/S
Vendor management
- Regular review of unused vendor code in AX
- Prepare intercompany billing invoices (IC recharges)
VAT filing and other local tax-related support
Others
- Distribute expenses ledger with summary reports to information users (divisions)
- Participate in any system or process improvement projects
Person Specifications:
Academic / Professional Qualifications
- Business administration or Accounting Major
Work Experience
- Max 1-2 years experience in Finance or Accounting department
Required Competencies
- Interpersonal communication skill cross the divisions and countries
- MS Office (Especially Excel)
