Assistant Account Manager

We’re seeking an Assistant Account Manager. Daily responsibilities include monitoring mailboxes for submissions, pre-qualifying /logging in submissions, maintaining data spreadsheets, aiding team members, and ensuring accurate policy issuance. The position requires proficient Excel skills, in-depth understanding of carrier procedures, and the ability to handle policy changes and communication with underwriters and/or agents. Monthly tasks include preparing renewal lists, setting up renewals, processing & issuing policies, and maintaining compliance with underwriting and state requirements.

ProSurance Group (PSG), a division of One80 Intermediaries is a managing general agent and program manager which focuses on professional lines coverage. The team provides coverage for clients throughout the financial services industry such as financial planners, investment advisors, insurance agents, security broker/dealers and their registered representatives. In addition to underwriting professional liability, PSG offers fidelity and crime coverages for commercial and financial accounts; and professional/general liability for small businesses in many industries.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Process various requests on crime insurance policies which could involve putting policies on waivers, refund money, update info, process name changes, process increases, cancelling policies
• Process policies for issuance according to set carrier standards each month.
• Excellent understanding of contractual procedures with the carrier (the carrier’s system allows only for certain processes. Being able to support the underwriters in this matter is crucial)
• File premium received confirmation from Accounting Department – making sure each payment is updated to correct policy
• Capable of in-depth understanding of the work, procedures, and policies to apply when making decisions and policy changes and corresponding with agents and clients (our carrier)
• Maintain and update files in our shared system.
• Update underwriting requirements or state requirements as requested by the carrier

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Proficient experience in Excel and Microsoft Office
• Must be able to acquire and maintain valid resident P&C licenses and continuing education as outlined by the insurance license.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• 1-3 years of related experience

At One80 Intermediaries, base pay is one part of our total compensation package, which also includes a comprehensive suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings. The total compensation for a position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. The expected base pay range for this position is between $48,000 - $65,000 plus discretionary bonus. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
