Job Description
The APAC Product Administration Team has members across APAC in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Shanghai and India. Supporting primarily Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Japan, Australia with domestic funds; and Singapore and Korea with offshore funds. Your role requires good social skills, strong co-ordination and regular engagement with stakeholders. You will participate in local and regional discussion across different functions, to understand developments in your funds, the markets they trade in and their unit holder requirements. This best positions you to represent your funds during the many day-to-day challenges that will be escalated to you.
As a Vice President in the Product Administration Team in Taiwan, you will be focused on the Taiwan domestic fund ranges and their day-to-day practical compliance with fund offering documentation and regulatory obligations. You will be dealing with Fund Governance, Fund Valuations, Liquidity Risk Management tools (e.g. Anti-dilution tools) and Fund Data represents broadly half the role along with owning fund projects that can vary in length from weeks to months in time-line.
Job Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for Taiwan unit trust funds governance model, align key process and governance committee in Taiwan, e.g. dividend review and distribution, fund risk rating review and NAV/ fair valuation and fund capacity oversight.
  • Enhance continuously existing product governance process/ models as required.
  • Act as the contact point of escalation for fund policy related matters and work in unison with multiple teams internally and externally where required to keep them operating within the offering documents and regulations.
  • Lead the local Governance Committees to oversee valuation, fund administration, regulatory and liquidity risk management items.
  • Represent Funds Administration for internal and external audit/ testing
  • Oversee the anti-dilution tools to protect the interest of unit holders under the broader firm wide Liquidity Risk Management Framework
  • Escalate appropriate matters to senior management, up to the regional committees, as required
  • Produce or coordinate ad hoc analysis and ongoing metrics
  • Managing project on fund related initiatives where required.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills.

  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in financial industry
  • Good knowledge on Taiwan regulations and investment products; experience operating in heavily governed environments under compliance, regulatory or risk reduction controls.
  • Solid understanding of Products and business management functions in Asset Management and/or related financial services industries
  • Fluent in written and spoken Mandarin and English are required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work with stakeholders in different functions, with the ability and confidence to engage with senior management.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity, shifting priorities, timelines and demands.
  • Demonstrate ability to partner effectively across different businesses and functional areas. Collaborative and proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and has 'can do' attitude.
