As a Tech Investment Specialist within our dynamic team, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the global Investment Specialist team to understand and influence business requirements around the possibility and scope of automation and efficiency projects. In this role, you will develop a deep understanding of the investment processes and will have the chance to liaise with multiple groups, enhancing your professional network and expertise.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement scalable cloud-based solutions for complex financial applications, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Architect and optimize systems for performance, scalability, and reliability, with a focus on cloud infrastructure (AWS).
- Own projects and drive them to successful completion.
- Understand and improve client materials, including pitch books and review materials, by identifying gaps and enhancing workflow efficiency, primarily through automation.
- Gather requirements and execute projects related to existing automation pipelines, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to ensure efficient data processing and integration across various systems.
- Collaborate with JPMAM client service, reporting teams, and technology teams to streamline, automate, and verify client data and reporting (standard, customized, and ad hoc).
- Lead initiatives to enhance the automation and efficiency of client data processes, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.
- Create comprehensive and rich technical and functional documentation to support system development and maintenance.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 4+ years of applied experience
- Strong experience with AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and other relevant services.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing ETL pipelines using tools such as Apache Airflow, AWS Glue, or similar technologies.
- Solid understanding of systems design principles, including microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and advanced skills in PowerPoint for creating impactful presentations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VBA knowledge, for data analysis and automation.
- Expertise in tech tools such as Python, Alteryx, Excel Macros, Intelligent Automation solutions, IA Hub, SQL, and Tableau.
- Applied database experience with data models, SQL, DDL, DML on Postgres and Snowflake
- Experience developing, testing, debugging, and maintaining code following best practices with stories, code repositories, and CI/CD pipelines.
