- Ensuring that designs are implemented to the highest standard, accurately and according to the designers' brief.
- Taking responsibility for the profitability of artwork phases of projects.
What the job covers
Implementing the signed off design through to the highest possible standard of artwork, taking into account any technical or print constraints.
Responsibilities
- To fully understand the brief for taking designs into artwork as discussed with the designer and client servicing and to question any points that need clarification.
- To produce artwork within the agreed budget and deadline.
- To proactively liaise with designers showing them your work-in-progress.
- To ensure that artwork is correctly annotated.
- To ensure that ISO procedures have been adhered to.
- To be the ‘client champion’ on your allocated clients ensuring the artwork is produced to the highest standards.
- To follow the technical specifications for producing artwork as supplied by Production Team.
- To keep the Production Manager and Production Project Managers informed as to any circumstances that may have an impact on budget or deadline.
- To work with enthusiasm, passion and commitment.
Reporting and communication structure
- Reporting to the Production Manager and working closely with members of client servicing, designers, Production Project Managers and creative retouchers.
Training
Training as defined during Personal Development meetings.
Performance review and personal development
By the Production Manager on the basis of:
- Client satisfaction.
- Accuracy of artwork.
- Profitability of assignments.
- Quality of relationship with designers.
