Job Description

This candidate will help AECOM deliver peer-recognized design work while striving to incorporate our Environmental, Social, and Governance goals on each project. 

About Buildings + Places: 

Our Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building and system engineering, urbanism and planning (inclusive of landscape design), strategy +, economics, technology solutions, asset advisory, and cost and program management. This diverse team assists our clients from strategy through project realization, creating positive outcomes for those who occupy and use the buildings and environments we help to create. Our Cleveland studio focuses on the Commercial/Corporate, Science and Technology, Higher Education, and Federal market sectors. We look to combine beauty, sustainability, resiliency, equity, and innovation in our projects and believe these values can be instilled in any project regardless of size or budget. 

AECOM is seeking an Architectural Intern to be based in Cleveland, OH.

This position is expected to begin in the summer of 2025.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks.
• Performs entry-level work.
• Follows instructions to accomplish tasks assigned by senior staff.
• Meets required schedules while producing quality work.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: 

• Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture, Urban Planning, or Interior design. and must have completed at least 2 years of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Demonstrates creativity, passion, and interest in planning and design. 
• Experience with BIM-Revit, AutoCAD, or other related CADD software.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing 
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task work on multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced work environment. 
• Ability to work in a team environment and effectively meet deadlines. 
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. 
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign graphic software preferred.
