Job Description

Responsible for defining ALSAC’s computer, network, data integration, and software technology standards (Enterprise Architecture). Responsible for the development of enterprise standards for technology ensuring long term operational effectiveness (supportability, reliability, scalability, and extensibility) and efficiency (long-term cost engineering and re-use).  Insures that business solutions fit into the enterprise architectural designs and strategies.    Aligns the various stakeholders to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to ALSAC’s enterprise technology environments.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Develops strategies and solutions for ALSAC’s technology environment, evaluating efforts to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization. Performs essential job functions in various environments under various climate control tolerances.   

2. Evaluates and identifies business opportunities for Enterprise Architecture and manages and influences teams accordingly.   

3. Participates in the ITS Change Control function, and ALSAC’s Architecture Review Board and coordinates Enterprise Architecture activities with the hospital as directed by the CIO.    

4. Works with key stakeholders and departments, structures the resources and activities of Enterprise Architecture and Business Intelligence so objectives are accomplished.   

5. Develops, documents, communications, and directs the strategy linking ALSAC’s application architecture, data architecture, and technical architecture.

6. Ensures efficient operation of business systems through standardization, re-use, and appropriate application of enterprise standards.   

7. Actively participates in development teams to ensure alignment of technology solutions with enterprise roadmaps and evangelizes use of enterprise toolsets and standards.    

8 Implements measurements to ensure effectiveness, usage, and awareness. 

9. Conducts effective management of third partner partners.  Identifies primary vendors.  Negotiates and monitors quality and cost of services.   

10. Instills a high sense of urgency, excellence, and customer focus to technology teams including serving as a mentor and coach to the team.   

11. Coordinates with other ALSAC leaders to ensure security, privacy, and compliance standards are met.   

12. Directly supervises first level managers and directors within the department.  Coaches, counsels, write performance appraisals and deals with performance issues in a timely and effective manner across their entire organization.   

13. Confers with senior staff, IT governance committees, and other ITS department heads on ITS strategy, projects, operations, and priorities.  Maintains and audit ready posture.

14. Work closely with development teams to understand their needs, promote best practices for code commits, and ensure smooth integration into the CI/CD pipeline

  • Requires thorough knowledge of the Information Technology function, all major categories of information technology solutions
  • General management methods; significant experience of understands complex business issues
  • Speak and write in a clear and understandable manner for internal/external relations
  • Understand extremely complex verbal or written instructions;
  • Knowledge ordinarily acquired through bachelor's degree in computer science or business/information systems and 10 or more years in architecture and integration and business intelligence, including at least 5 years of management experience. 
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion (SaaS), Financials, Supply Chain and Order Management systems.

  • Provide functional and technical inputs and leadership supporting ERP systems.

  • 10+ years experience with data integration, application development and hybrid environments.

  • Lead the design, development, configuration, and deployment of the overall solution.

  • In addition, assist in different strategic initiatives related to establish and implement the ERP applications roadmap.

  • Thought leadership on enterprise data, ingestion, integration and solutioning in a hybrid environment.

  • Experience in streaming technologies, API design and management and best practices around hybrid environments (AWS, SaaS solutions and on-prem).

  • Deep understanding of core Java concepts (OOP, Collections, Concurrency, JVM internals) and experience building complex Java applications.
  • Ability to analyze and identify bottlenecks, implement strategies to improve website loading speed and scalability
  • Work closely with development teams to understand their needs, promote best practices for code commits, and ensure smooth integration into the CI/CD pipeline
  • Familiarity with design patterns, microservices architecture, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures. Experience with Mulesoft, Kafka/Confluent a plus.
  • Experience within the Salesforce platform - Marketing Cloud, Sales/Service/Data clouds a plus
