The Lens Team creatively applies innovative augmented reality technology to design and ship Face Lenses, World Lenses, AR Games, Utilities and more. This team is composed of designers, data scientists, and product/program managers, interactive engineers that create custom AR lenses and interactive Snapchat games.

We’re looking for an AR Project Manager to join the Lenses team at Snap Inc!

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to accurately capture the essence of projects and timelines needed to execute projects.

  • Manage the project process from assessment and definition, creative and technical design, production and development, testing and launch standpoints

  • Communicate and report on expectations and project progress

  • Find solutions to arising problems and present ideas in collaboration with other team members

  • Generate insights, ideas for Lenses that contribute to the major business goals.

  • ​​Present plans to diverse stakeholders – clearly framing their current place in the process – and drive decision making when needed.

  • Partner closely with UXR to understand opportunities for innovation and improvement

  • Help define new processes, workflows, and tools for the team

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to manage complex projects effectively (sets clear goals, identifies roadblocks, designs solutions, and tracks progress against deadlines)

  • Self-motivated attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous work environment

  • Experience developing project strategies

  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability toward the projects

  • AR/Content user experience design understanding, critical thinking skills for noticing potential improvements of user experience.

  • Strong communication skills

  • Experience with Jira management or similar task management software

  • Passion for Snapchat and creativity!


Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in a related field such as computer science, digital media, game design, or business, or equivalent years of experience with AR projects, creative agencies, consumer tech, or entertainment.

  • 8+ years of experience with project schedule management and work breakdown structures


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with AR

  • Experience in digital production

  • Creative background

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):

The base salary range for this position is $152,000-$228,000 annually.


 

Zone B:

The base salary range for this position is $144,000-$217,000 annually.

Zone C:

The base salary range for this position is $129,000-$194,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
