We are currently looking for Appointment Schedulers. The schedule is Monday Through Friday 8-4:30PM.

Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston (OCB) is a world-renown provider of eye care services. OCB Appointment Schedulers are responsible for:

  • Answering a high volume of inbound and outbound calls in a call center environment for all the OCB specialties and locations
  • Working with patients to address their concerns and questions and schedule appropriately
  • Obtain proper insurance information, and verify we are contracted with the insurance company
  • Obtaining all necessary demographic information during the registration process and avoid delays in care
  • Answer voicemails, returning calls to the patient and documenting the call outcomes
  • Contacting new or existing patients to schedule appointments based on outside providers request and ensure proper documentation
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks based on priority
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED or higher
  • Strong customer service skills required to be able to handle all calls in a professionally, and friendly manner
  • Strong computer and typing skills required
  • Call center experience preferred but not required
  • Working knowledge of Epic system preferred but not required
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft office preferred but not required
  • Prior experience working with medical insurance preferred but not required
