Job Description

The Application Engineer is a key contributor to the development, implementation and validation of applications and machines that enhance the overall customer experience. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the role will be pivotal in translating customer needs into innovative technical solutions that contribute to the differentiation and competitiveness of TOMRAs products and services. 

Qualifications

  • Relevant Tertiary Degree (Engineering, Maths, Statistics, Science or Similar) or a Diploma/Certificate in a Technical or Engineering field with extensive relevant industry experience
  • Experience in product management, project management or product development 
  • Experience in the food industry or any other industry engaged in sensor technology would be advantageous 
  • Experience in testing and validation of software and hardware solutions 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication 
  • Demonstrated technical skills (mechanical, electrical/electronics, software, networking and controls or similar) in at least one area 
  • Ability to build positive and effective relationships with key stakeholders 
  • Exposure to project management work and methodologies 
  • Basic analytical skills for producing information mainly from business systems, Advanced skills preferred
  • Attention to detail, analytical, dedicated, flexible and able to work autonomously
