Purpose of role
This role exists within US Production Service Management team to provide production support for various front office applications including technical analysis and associated solutions to ensure production stability for the business as per agreed Service Level Expectations (SLE) or requirements.
Responsibilities

Responsible for supporting in-house trading applications and flows to external ECNs to cover trade life-cycle, trade capture, intraday risk management and PnL.

Incident & Change management in adherence to NatWest policies.

Perform root cause analysis and problem resolution follow-up.

Provide support during core market hours as part of team Rota covering early/late starts with potential for weekend support on rotational basis.

Develop and maintain support documentation for all applications for reference as a knowledge base for training.

Acting as a representative of the user community and work with the development team to prioritize BAU support issues requiring a fix or enhancement for future releases.

Apply an automation mindset to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and reduce manual intervention in production service management tasks.

Work independently with minimal supervision while proactively identifying and resolving service-related issues to ensure operational stability.

Work collaboratively with different teams that are regional and across geographies based on business priorities.
Skills and Experience needed to do the role

Minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting or developing solutions for Front Office trading and sales environments.

Proficiency in Java and Python programming to automate processes, implement enhancements, and resolve bugs where necessary.

Extensive experience of domain knowledge across Fixed Income products (Swaps & Options, Treasury Bonds & futures, Corporates & Agencies) is essential.

Solid understanding of the front-to-back trade lifecycle of these products within an Investment Bank.

Expertise in relational databases such as Sybase, PostgreSQL and MSSQL for data management and optimization.

Strong understanding of microservices architecture within a trading environment, including alerting, monitoring and performance optimization.

Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, Corvil and Geneos for real-time system health tracking and issue detection.

Familiarity with middleware technologies such as EMS, Agora, FIX Protocol used in trading ecosystem.

Experience with Kdb+ for time-series data analysis and real-time processing.

Capability to develop and maintain solutions that improve service operations and support system enhancements.

Ability to take complex requests raised by users, translate them into actionable tasks, and collaborate with both local and global teams to ensure they are resolve in a timely and satisfactory manner.

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify root causes, analyze trends, and propose effective solutions for complex issues.

Must have bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
The expected base annual salary range for this position is $100,000 - $115,000 at the start of employment. This is not a guarantee of compensation. The exact compensation is determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on skills, experience, training licensure, certifications and location.
