Job Description

  

Job Summary:
Application Engineer to support Wireless products.
Detailed Description:

  • Provide support to customers using Teledyne LeCroy test and measurement equipment.
  • Assist customers with pre- and post-sales technical support queries via email, phone, and on-site troubleshooting.
  • Utilize understanding of protocols and Teledyne LeCroy products to help debug real-world problems.
  • Engage in Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), Wi-Fi Alliance and Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) compliance working group calls and test events.
  • Provide product demonstrations and protocol training webinars.
  • Generate and review product documentation for customer use-cases.
  • Contribute to sales presentations, showcasing product technical features and processes.
  • Build lasting customer relationships to gain constructive product feedback for improving user experiences.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Validation teams to recreate customer test environments for reproducing and troubleshooting issues found in the field.
  • Document and communicate customer requirements with Engineering to develop customized solutions.
  • Gather field data, document findings, and prepare detailed reports on project status, technical issues, and corrective actions.
  • Work within and adhere to organizational and government trade compliance policies and practices.
  • Provide secondary support for additional protocols such as USB as needed.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) in English.
  • Strong analytical and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail while performing daily tasks such as documenting, troubleshooting and communicating.
  • Ability to obtain necessary documentation to travel domestically and internationally for customer visits and industry events.
  • Education level:  Degree or higher: BSEE/BSCS, bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Electronics / electrical engineering / relevant discipline, or equivalent combination of education and job experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to different job sites.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Technical customer support and/or B2B sales experience.

Preferred skills/background:

  • Knowledge and experience in RF/Wireless over-the-air technologies and associated standards.
    • Including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or 802.15.4
  • Comfortable interfacing with customers and being part of the Sales process face-to-face or remotely.
  • Basic understanding of computer networking configurations and protocols.
  • Experience using test instruments (e.g. compliance testers, packet sniffers, signal generators/analyzers).
  • Bluetooth Standards Compliance or Validation Testing experience.
  • Debug experience in:
    • Bluetooth over-the-air (BR/EDR and LE) and embedded (HCI) protocols.
    • Wi-Fi (5, 6/6e and 7) protocols.
    • 802.15.4 (ZigBee, Matter and Thread) protocols.
    • Industrial Network Protocols (over RS-232, RS-422/485, Ethernet 10/100).
  • Strong familiarity with Windows and Mac operating environment.
  • Foreign language skills ideal but not required.
  • Good understanding of Sales and product development cycles, as part of the customer decision-making process.

  

Salary Range:

$113,600.00-$151,400.000
