Job Description
Pre and post sales technical support for the use of Protocol Group ProductsDetailed Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide first/second line technical support for CNS Protocol test product lines (PCI Express, CXL, NVMe, Ethernet, Fibre Channel SAS, SATA).
- Respond to customer queries and requests for help using the support tracking system by web, email and zoom.
- Utilize Protocol Analyzers and other test and measurement equipment.
- Interpret and analyze trace captures
- Independently Interpret testing and compliance results and provide feedback to the customer.
- Communicate clearly between Customers and other internal individuals
- Collaborate with other team members: sales engineering, marketing, application engineering and product development teams
- Work within organizational policies and practices
- Recreate/validate reported issues
- Escalate and involve/work with next line of support where appropriate.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
- Strong analytical /problem solving skills, proactive problem solver
- Education level: Degree or higher. BSEE/BSCS, Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Electronics/ electrical engineering / relevant discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in remotely supporting customers
- Good English communication in addition to local language
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge/experience of high-speed serial protocol standards
- PCI Express (PCIe), Compute Express Link (CXL), NVMe, SAS,SATA, Ethernet, Fibre Channel
- Comfortable interfacing with customers and being part of the Sales process
- Knowledge of electrical and electronics principles – in particular high speed serial protocols
- Basic understanding of computer network configuration and protocols
- Experience using test instruments (e.g., compliance testers, protocol analyzers)
- Debug or validation of PCIe protocol
- Debug or validation of CXL protocol
- Debug or validation of NVMe or SAS
- Familiarity with a Linux and Windows operating environment
- Foreign language skills ideal but not required
- Good understanding of Sales cycle and customer decision making and development cycle
