The Application Engineer performs complex non-operational & operational tasks in the area of platform management. S/he plays a crucial role in the design and
implementation of new functionalities within our eProcurement applications and is also responsible for continuous user support. Furthermore, this position is
pivotal in optimizing functionality, data integrity and overall application performance.

Tasks and Qualifications:Key Responsabilities:

Technical responsibility of the application design and concept implementation including continuous solution enhancement

Analyze business requirements and provide technical guidance

Lead the design and implementation of interfaces connecting eProcurement platform to other applications inside and outside KION
-
Create, adjust and supervise application reference data and master data to ensure high grad of system and process reliability

Enhance/ ensure quality and compliance of integrated data and processes
-
Support in change management activities
-
Continuously monitor system and feature performance and initiate measures if required

Address technical issues, provide timely resolution and lead the escalation process if required
-
Support operational improvement activities and supervise external providers

Collaborate with all parties involved in the respective processes on day-to-day and ad-hoc requests

Create and maintain comprehensive documentations, such as design documents, user manuals and project closure/ implementation documents

Time management and planning required to support in multiple business unit needs and projects simultaneously while adapting to changes in business requirements in a fast-paced environment

Coaching/ training of application team and user base
Requirements:

Degree in Business Studies with majors in Procurement
-
5 years of experience in Procurement or related process
-
Professional Experiences in master data management with a good understanding of crossfunctional processes
-
Proficient in related IT systems including functionalities and tools
-
Excellent understanding of system workflows, dependencies and inter-dependencies
-
Strong service orientation and communication skills
-
Pro-active personality with balanced focus on quality and pragmatic solutions

Proficient Business English
