Job Description
The Operations Control Management (OCM) team is responsible for oversight of the Firm's control environment for Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Operations and is part of the Firm's first line of defense. The team supports our Operations partners covering Business such as but not limited to Markets/Banking/Securities Services across 14 locations in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region, and collaborates with other stakeholders including Audit, Compliance, Front Office etc. both regionally and globally to supporting the overall control agenda for CIB.
As an APAC Operations Control Management - Governance Associate within the Operations Control Management team, you will be tasked with identifying potential risks and designing as well as implementing controls to manage significant risks. Your responsibilities will include the execution of the risk management framework, evaluating and managing risks associated with the development and implementation of new or modified products and services. As the team leader, you will oversee the governance team to execute programs across the Corporate and Investment Bank in the region, as a part of the Corporate and Investment Bank Operations Control Management Organization. Your role will also encompass the establishment of governance on centralized communications, risks & controls training & best practices, and various control initiatives.
Job responsibilities:
- Support Central OCM team to execute Control Programs and delivery high quality of data analytic management reports
- Promote and improve awareness of risk & control culture across the CIB Operations and develop governance training and best practice alongside Compliance and other stakeholders
- Partner with Compliance, & Technology to stay on top of data-related regulatory change initiatives
- Handle Finance / Business management associated tasks
- Accelerate digitalization of risk identification leveraging digital tools and Machine Learning
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- At least 6 years of business management, operations or legal and compliance experience within financial services
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The candidate must be self-motivated and resourceful with the ability to manage a team in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
- Demonstrated ability to interact with Team members and partners with other senior stakeholders to support the goals of the business
- Strong Project Management & Communication skills across platforms - emails, meeting facilitation, presentations, documentation
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Programming skills to assist automation agenda is an advantage.
