About the Role:
Ample seeks an experienced Accounts Payable/Cash Accountant to join our team. Ample’s future hire will join a growing team of dynamic professionals and report directly to Ample’s Sr. Accounting Manager.
What You’ll Do:
- Process payments and expense reimbursements on a regular basis
- Set up new vendors in the accounting system, including collection of W9 data
- Address and respond to vendor inquiries on account status and payment application
- Manage transaction reporting from corporate credit card holders
- Provide weekly reporting on cash expenditures
- Monitor bank balances and act as liaison with corporate banker to resolve any transaction discrepancies
- Troubleshoot IT issues between the main accounting system and payment software
- Coordinate invoice entry with part-time AP team member
- Engage with Sourcing & Procurement department in assessing payment priorities, providing payment updates as needed
- Assist with year-end 1099 tax compliance process for vendors
- Document expense and payment processes as necessary
Requirements:
- Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's or Concentration or Certificate in Accounting
- 1 year minimum of relevant accounting experience within a startup environment
- Intermediate Excel proficiency
- Impeccable organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Adaptable and able to respond nimbly to shifting priorities
Nice to Have:
- Experience with a publicly traded company or CPA firm audit experience
- Actively pursuing CPA designation or plan to start CPA process within the next 1-2 years
Bonus Skills:
Experience and proficiency with any of the following systems will be considered a plus:
- Xero
- Bill (formerly Bill.com)
- Expensify
- Brex
