Android Team Lead

We are looking for an experienced Android Team Lead Developer to drive team productivity, shape architecture decisions, and lead the development of complex business logic. In this role, you will have the autonomy to implement your own ideas and solutions, optimize existing approaches, and introduce new technologies. You will be leading a team focused on building a high-impact application that’s expected to grow significantly over the next 6 to 12 months, and your leadership will be key to that growth.

About the product: This iOS and Android streaming app, launched on iOS in 2021 and Android in 2023, targets users in the USA and Tier-1 markets. It facilitates safe communication among people with similar interests. Key strengths include a user-friendly UX/UI, high-quality video with beauty effects, and no ads. The app is built without legacy code, enabling agile development and quick iteration. Operating in a dynamic and competitive niche, the team uses Scrum methodology and leverages deep expertise in the field. With responsive management and proven adaptability, our goal is to scale both iOS and Android versions efficiently.

In this role, you will

• Develop and maintain our new high-performance app using progressive approaches for the Android platform
• Manage the Android development team and drive its productivity
• Write clean, testable, maintainable code and continuously grow your technical expertise
• Take part in all key technical decisions and build scalable app architecture
• Collaborate with the team on ideation, concept creation, design, and feature development

It’s all about you

• 4+ years of experience in native Android development
• Proven experience in leading and managing development teams
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK and Kotlin
• Experience with Clean Architecture and MVI
• Solid understanding of OOP principles and SOLID
• Passion for modern software development trends
• Commitment to writing high-quality, clean, and testable code (TDD, BDD)
• Knowledge of data storage solutions such as SQLite and Room
• Experience with dependency injection frameworks like Koin, Hilt, or Dagger 2
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose
• Confident use of third-party libraries (e.g., Retrofit, OkHttp, Glide)
• Results-driven mindset with a focus on outcomes over process
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher
