Our Business Banking division serves over 10,000 clients in the medium to large business segment across Australia, with complex financial needs (lending up to $50m) and turnover between $30m-$150m. We are committed to understanding our clients, and delivering insights and creative solutions, to drive sustainable business growth.
Your impact
Our team focus on customers that operate in the Health and Constructions Services sectors. You will be a key member of the Relationship Management team, undertaking in depth analysis and assessment of the risks or opportunities associated with lending to new customers, as well as the risks or opportunities associated with increases in credit facilities to existing clientele. Additionally, you will attend customer meetings/events with Relationship Executives and Senior Executives, providing crucial Relationship support to our goal of being the #1 Business Bank.

Your role will involve

Financial modelling and analysis relating to Business and/or Commercial Banking clients.

Prepare credit submissions for new facilities, and coordination of deal execution through documentation and funding.

Manage the portfolio’s data quality, compliance and reporting requirements such as pipeline leads, calls, contacts and revenues versus plan.

Performance monitoring and annual reviews for existing clients, and reporting of client financial and operational performance to Risk Management.

Build and maintain effective working relationships with the Client Service Centre, Risk Management, Global Markets, Banking Products, Asset Finance Specialists and Specialist Distribution.

Structure and clearly articulate the credit merits of a transaction, including identifying and mitigating key risks.
What are we looking for?
We’re high performing, customer focused team and we’re looking for an experienced Analyst with the same attributes. You are self-driven, a good team player and highly adaptable to complex environments. In this team you’ll have the opportunity to gain exposure to large commercial clients and work with some of the most skilled Commercial Bankers.
Some of the key capabilities & experience we’re looking for include:

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.

Have client service experience ideally in a Commercial or Business banking environment.

Ability to quickly grasp complex transactions, and ideally have previous 'new to bank' transactional and credit risk experience.

Strong credit writing and commercial acumen – particularly in financial analysis of balance sheets, profit and loss, cashflow forecasting and unsecured lending.

A tertiary qualification in Business/Finance and/or Commerce would be highly regarded.
