The Commercial Advanced Analyst will collaborate closely with omnichannel commercial product managers, data visualization analysts, data scientists, and business teams to develop predictive analytical solutions that identify demand trends and forecast future outcomes. As part of an integrated omnichannel commercial team, this role will engage with key stakeholders to prepare for the adoption of AI techniques that enhance omnichannel business practices.
The Analyst will consult with product managers and business stakeholders to create machine learning and AI solutions that address significant business challenges. Additionally, this position will focus on optimizing models for deployment in the omnichannel commercial environment, driving the introduction of innovative solutions within Ahold Delhaize USA (ADUSA).

Essential job functions:

  • Predictive Analytics & Machine Learning (ML) Solutions: Develop predictive models and advanced analytical solutions to detect demand trends and forecast future commercial outcomes. Collaborate with data scientists to refine and optimize these models for deployment within the omnichannel commercial framework.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with omnichannel commercial product managers, business stakeholders, and the broader analytics team (data visualization analysts, data scientists) to develop actionable insights and innovative AI/ML solutions tailored to business challenges.
  • AI & ML Strategy Development: Assist product managers and business teams in crafting and deploying ML/AI solutions that address major business challenges. Ensure these solutions align with the long-term commercial goals and vision.
  • Model Optimization & Innovation: Drive the continuous improvement and optimization of deployed predictive models. Work towards future-proofing solutions by integrating the latest AI/ML innovations and ensuring they align with ADUSA's strategic vision for omnichannel commerce.
  • Data-Driven Decision Support: Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on complex data analysis to support strategic business decisions. Help optimize omnichannel commercial practices by identifying areas for improvement and proposing data-driven solutions.
  • Collaboration with IT: Lead collaboration with IT to structure omnichannel commercial data in a way that makes it accessible for machine learning tool creation. Work with IT to identify and leverage new technologies to access data, facilitating analysis and insight development. Apply expertise in advanced statistical technologies to synthesize data into actionable business opportunities.
  • Scalability & Deployment: Work closely with product managers and IT engineers to sustainably scale and deploy omnichannel commercial products, ensuring they are efficient, effective, and aligned with business needs.
  • Mentorship & Development: Mentor CoOps by providing project oversight, guidance, and professional development. Help build their skills and knowledge to support their career growth.
  • Leadership Collaboration: Lead and engage in discussions with leadership on innovative approaches to analysis, exploring the implications of various data insights and building alignment on the results to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Future State Research: Research and evaluate future states of processes, tools, or insights that can be leveraged by the omnichannel commercial team to drive ongoing improvement and innovation.
  • Presentations & Stakeholder Engagement: Present new initiatives and tools to stakeholders for review, ensuring clarity on their impact and benefits to the business.
  • Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business and support our Values.


Qualifications :

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis until the end of their appointment
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience with a focus on analytics, agile software development, optimization, or predictive modeling.
  • Proficiency in databases, SQL, and Python.
  • Extensive experience in machine learning, predictive analytics, statistics, and structured problem-solving.
  • Ability to develop a structured approach to complex issues and quickly formulate hypotheses for test analyses.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Proven collaborative team player.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently present strategic analytics to senior leaders.


Preferred:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience applying machine learning and AI techniques for generating omnichannel commercial insights.
