What you’ll do
The Role: What will I do?
As a Data Analyst / Data Engineer, you will support data-driven decision-making by collecting, cleaning, and analysing data from various sources. You will also assist in creating reports, dashboards, and visualisations to communicate insights effectively. This role provides an opportunity to learn and develop your data analysis skills while contributing to the team's success.
The Data Analyst is responsible for several areas in the data processing:
In 3 - 6 months
- Undertake data extraction, manipulation, formatting and analysis.
- Analyse datasets to ensure that each KPI is understood and can be explained back to the team.
- Ensure that all tables, charts and other information produced by you or others has been checked for accuracy and formatted to Gain Theory standards before passing on to senior project team.
- Provide support to more senior colleagues in data collection, including preparing and sending data requests, chasing outstanding data, and querying data with clients and agencies.
In 6 - 12 months
- Thoroughly understand the data infrastructure and able to handle data processing independently.
- Actively seek more efficient ways of doing things for yourself and others and turn suggestions into actions including in service and product development.
- Demonstrate flexibility and work across multiple clients/projects at a time as directed by your project manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field
- Proficiency in SQL and Python is crucial for data manipulation, querying, and analysis.
- Knowledge of Tableau / Power BI tools to create clear and impactful data visualisations.
- Understanding of marketing, statistics, or related fields to apply data analysis to business problems.
- The ability to interpret data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
- The willingness to learn new tools and techniques as the field of data analytics evolves.
