The Analyst, Customer Intelligence & Operations (Jr. Business Architect) reports to the Operational Excellence team and plays a key role in the execution of automatization projects & initiatives through the design and construction of Pegasystems driven applications. The Analyst will develop the fundamental and essential skills needed for analyzing, designing, creating business requirements and specifications in the PEGA application in addition to the development of low code and workflows processes. This role is expected to collaborate with other business units including department heads, stakeholders, and IT teams to drive and enforce best practices whilst optimizing automated processes. This position is hybrid and is based in our Oriental Center facility in San Juan, PR.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with multiple business units to define requirements, design, test & develop automated solutions.
  • Analyze and provide feedback on user requirements to recommend systematic solutions than ensure streamlined processes.
  • Understands the business and operational processes, data shared across the systems and how to correlate data for accurate decision making.
  • Analyze and plan changes through a continuous improvement lens to accelerate software deployment and development processes, within an Agile framework.  
  • Prepare and maintain proper technical documentation regarding the stage and requirements of the project, as well as, guides that ensure proper usage.
  • Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint and before implementation.
  • Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, industrial engineering, information systems, or similar field required.
  • 1+ year(s) of relevant business architecture, software development, optimization and/or automation required. Co-op or internship experience qualifies.
  • Proficiency in Pega platform preferred. Will be required to certificate as a Pega Certified Business Architect within the first year.
  • Experience in managing design, development, and prioritization of business needs. 
  • Learning agility that enables a broad, enterprise-wide knowledge of software programs & automation options enabling systematically streamlined solutions.
  • Demonstrated skill in using and programming languages, coding standards and being an active participant in code reviews.  Preferably user interface, webservice technology and/or API level test automation expertise.
  • Experienced in implementing testing and QA frameworks and applications using Agile methodologies.  Preferably experience planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis abilities. 
  • Exceptional communication skills in both Spanish and English with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization (this includes written and verbal communication).
