1. Financial Reporting/ Closing:
a. Manage the general ledger, including posting journal entries, maintaining chart of accounts, and accurate transaction coding.
b. Conduct regular GL account reconciliations to validate balances and promptly rectify any disparities.
c. Assist in closing of accounts as assigned, including preparation of monthly financial reports and supporting schedules.
d. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
e. Assist in gathering financial information requested by internal/external auditors and regulators.
f. Monitor and assess the impact of financial trends on the organization’s financial stability.
g. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure completeness and accuracy in reporting.
2. Control and Compliance:
a. Ensure compliance to financial regulations and adherence with local and international accounting standards.
b. Establish and maintain robust financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
3. Tax Planning and Compliance:
a. Ensure accurate and timely preparation of tax returns.
b. Collaborate with tax advisors to optimize the organization's tax position.
4. Ad Hoc Projects:
a. Participating in special projects and initiatives as assigned, such as, system implementations, or process improvement.
b. Support development and maintenance of an efficient financial system.
Qualifications
a. Minimum diploma in accounting with at least 2 to 3 years working experience in education and charity sector would be preferred.
b. Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial analysis.
c. Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.

a. Possess good interpersonal skills with excellent written and presentation abilities, be articulate, numerate and able to work independently.
b. Team-oriented individual with resourcefulness and effective communication skills.
c. A self-motivated team player who is meticulous, organised and able to learn quickly with strong analytical skills.
