Are you a seasoned Tax Manager looking for an opportunity to thrive in a dynamic and supportive environment? CMMS CPAs & Advisors PLLC, an ATLAS Navigators Firm, is seeking a skilled Tax Manager to join our Amarillo team. At ATLAS, we are dedicated to providing holistic client care through our extensive network across multiple states, offering significant room for career growth.
As a Tax Manager, you will work under the supervision of a Partner or Director, leading client projects and building strong relationships. You will manage tax projects, ensure timely and accurate preparation and review of various tax returns, and provide expert tax and estate planning advice. Your role will also involve actively contributing to our advisory services, participating in billing and WIP analysis, and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information. Training and developing team members, improving processes, and demonstrating flexibility during tax season are also key aspects of this role.
Our ideal Tax Manager has a proven track record in managing client relationships and driving business growth. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Desktop are essential. Knowledge of GAAP and Tax Basis Accounting (Cash & Accrual) is also required. A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with a CPA license, is highly desirable. We expect 3-5 years of progressive experience in tax planning, compliance, and advisory services within a CPA firm or similar environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to operate a variety of machines and equipment including computer, office equipment, telephone, etc. Tasks may require extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.
