The Laboratory Solution Sales Group at Agilent in Japan is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, self-motivated and people-oriented individual to join our success and dynamic team as an Account Manager who is responsible for selling Agilent Instrument and software products to pharmaceutical end-user customers.
An Account manager is responsible for driving sales for end-to-end workflows of high-performance Agilent solutions comprised of capital equipment, services, and software focused on the research, development, and manufacturing value chains of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical companies. As an integral member of the team, you will use your excellent technical acumen and business development skills to focus on acquiring new customers while helping to maintain and grow your existing foundation. You will be expected to develop and implement successful strategies and tactics to market the advanced workflow solutions offered by Agilent. Not only will you build new relationships on key accounts, but you'll also gain a better understanding of your needs in an untapped market space. You'll also be able to deepen your ability to collaborate with local channel partners.
Responsibilities
- Driving sales of the entire portfolio products focused on pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical companies
- Understand applications and regulations in Pharmaceutical/Biopharmaceutical market segments and recognize trends that impact buying of Agilent products.
- Provide short- and long- term forecast narrative while directing a funnel of opportunities in CRM.
- Establishes short- and long-term goals and KPI metrics in alignment with company objectives and impact related industry orders.
- Develop and execute strategic customer business plan and maintain customer relationships that will enable Agilent to gain market share and achieve sales goals over competitively
- To provide high-level business interactions with the key customers & KOLs,built and fortify positive ongoing long-term relationship and business impact.
- Lead and Co-work with cross-functional teams to increase win rate and market share in selected strategic accounts under the “One Agilent” spirit
- Conduct product presentations and product overviews with and without Product Specialist (PS), Field Application Scientist (FAE), and Application Scientist (AE) assistance.
- Provide constructive feedback from customers into Agilent to help guide continual development of products that more effectively address customers' needs (collect voice of customer).
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent.
- Excellent analytical product and software knowledge
- Deep knowledge of Pharmaceutical/Biopharmaceutical market and regulation.
- Excellent communication, high level relationships building, teamwork and leadership skills
- 4+ years direct sales experience
- Highly motivated, with excellent self-management, organizational and prioritization skills
- Occasionally, should be able to travel about 10-30% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Industry/Application expertise. Working knowledge of competitive products (specifications, applications, value propositions)
Additional Details
This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.
