Your Role at Pura:

We are seeking an AI/ML Ops Data Engineer who is enthusiastic about diving deep into data, deploying models, and contributing to innovative product enhancements. This role is crucial for utilizing data science to enhance our products, ensuring Pura continues to lead in creating exceptional home and automotive scent experiences. We are looking for someone excited about turning complex data into actionable insights. You will help us inspire a belief in the power of fragrance to craft and elevate memorable moments for our Owners. What You’ll Own:

• Create and maintain data pipelines for R&D.
• Implementation of machine learning models to enhance the performance and user experience of our products.
• Participation in cross-functional teams to ensure data-driven approaches are aligned with business goals.
• Monitoring and reporting on the performance of deployed models, using data to drive further improvements.

Essential Functions:

• Create and maintain data pipelines and orchestration for R&D.
• Establish data integration setups to consolidate diverse data types including structured, and unstructured data into a unified database.
• Develop and implement user-friendly interfaces for easy data entry and retrieval.
• Build out the storage needs for the machine learning models and pipelines in collaboration with data and software engineers.
• Develop capabilities for handling and processing real-time data inputs, particularly for features like dynamic fragrance diffusion in Puralast.
• Implement machine learning models to enhance personalized customer experiences, develop model training pipelines on existing datasets, and create user preference datasets used for analysis and intensity prediction models.
• Operate within frameworks for collaborative design between R&D and production teams to productionalize predictive models to inform users about the remaining life of their fragrance.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to refine ML models using new data inputs to enhance accuracy and effectiveness.
• Create adaptive systems that adjust fragrance settings in real-time based on continuous feedback.
• Develop guidelines to ensure AI models are ethically developed and deployed.
• Implement systems for ongoing monitoring of model performance and mechanisms for easy updating and maintenance.
• Utilize and leverage various technologies and tools such as Airflow for workflow orchestration, EKS for scalable container management, Terraform for infrastructure as code, PySpark for big data processing and analysis, and BigQuery (BQ) for data warehousing, to effectively accomplish and streamline the aforementioned responsibilities.
• Evangelize your unique skill-set, knowledge, and recommendations across the business and mentor junior team members in all aspects of MLE.
