Job Summary

The AI Tech Lead will be responsible for defining and executing the technical strategy for a new AI-powered consumer product. This role involves architecting a scalable solution, integrating Large Language Models (LLMs), and setting up core infrastructure using Python, PostgreSQL, and AWS. As a key technical authority, the AI Tech Lead will work closely with product management to shape the roadmap and will later lead a team of engineers to deliver a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) by the end of June.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy and execution for the AI-driven MVP.

• Collaborate with product management to define goals, roadmap, and success metrics.

• Architect and develop scalable microservices using Python, PostgreSQL, and AWS.

• Evaluate and define the integration of Large Language Models (LLMs) to power AI-driven content generation.

• Make foundational decisions on tech stack, APIs, and data flows.

• Lead the hiring and onboarding of 3–4 engineers post-MVP planning.

• Establish coding standards, development workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Be hands-on in development while providing technical guidance and mentorship.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a senior engineer or tech lead on consumer-facing applications.

• Expertise in Python and designing scalable, secure microservices.

• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including data modeling and performance tuning.

• Deep knowledge of AWS infrastructure and services (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, etc.).

• Experience integrating or fine-tuning LLMs or generative AI solutions.

• Strong understanding of modern software architecture patterns (e.g., serverless, event-driven).

• Proven ability to collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams.
