Topline Pro has generated over $200 million in business for our customers across thousands of businesses in nearly all 50 states. About the Role

We’re hiring an AI Engineer to join the team here in Boston, which provides an opportunity to have a significant impact on the product. Come help us scale to the next level!

You will have the opportunity to make a huge impact on a small yet growing team and culture. Our Engineering organization currently operates in three Agile pods. In this role, you will work within one of those pods, reporting to the VP of Engineering.

⚡ What you'll do

• Enhance AI Agent and Chat Capabilities – Develop AI-powered assistants that help our customers run their small businesses
• Deploy & Scale AI Features – Build infrastructure and pipelines to support real-time AI interactions in a production environment
• Experiment & Iterate – Prototype new AI applications, evaluate their performance, and continuously refine them based on user feedback
• Work closely with our engineering leaders, contributing strategically and playing a key role in the product development process

🎯 What we're looking for

• 2+ years of experience in AI, ML, or NLP-related engineering roles / 5+ years experience as a software engineer
• Excellent problem-solving skills to address dynamic, complex problems early
• Experience with OpenAPI, embeddings, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
• Familiarity with LLMs and NLP techniques, including prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and evaluation
• Experience deploying AI models in production environments (e.g., cloud-based APIs, real-time processing)
• Experience working on empowered team with Product and Design as equal counterparts
• Preferred experience with some of the following: Django, frontend web UI framework, PostgreSQL
• Preferred proficiency in Python and experience with ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face
• Experience in an Agile Scrum environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Team player with a passion for learning
