About the Role
We are seeking a skilled research engineer to join our team. As a critical member of our interdisciplinary group, you will collaborate closely with AI scientists, engineers, and drug discovery experts to help develop AI models to accelerate the identification and development of novel therapeutics. This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage cutting-edge AI techniques to address pressing challenges in healthcare and contribute to improving human health globally.
About You
You collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications for AI model development. You implement and maintain state-of-the-art AI models for drug discovery tasks, leveraging frameworks such as PyTorch. You profile and optimize AI models in training and inference contexts. You integrate AI models into scalable pipelines and systems, ensuring robustness, reliability, and scalability for real-world applications. You stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and drug discovery, and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvement. You contribute to technical documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate findings, methodologies, and insights clearly and effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum of two years of industry experience in AI, machine learning, or related roles, with a track record of successfully implementing and deploying AI models in production environments.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and experience with relevant libraries, toolchain and frameworks for AI model development.
- Strong understanding of deep learning fundamentals, including neural network architectures, optimization techniques, and evaluation metrics.
- Familiarity with drug discovery processes, computational chemistry, or bioinformatics is desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for tackling complex challenges in healthcare.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.
- Experience solving complex problems and comparing alternative solutions, tradeoffs, and diverse points of view to determine a path forward.
- Experience working and communicating cross-functionally on an interdisciplinary team.
- Publication track record at conferences such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, etc.

Compensation
We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, seeking to provide an open, flexible, and friendly work environment to empower employees and provide them with a platform to develop their long-term careers. A Summary of Benefits is available for all applicants. The base pay range for this position is expected to be $160,000 - $220,000 annually; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on the market, job-related knowledge, skills and capabilities, and experience.
