As a Trade Support Associate within the Agency Securities Finance Operations team, you will provide operational support for our Securities Lending and Cash Reinvestment Trading desks. You will monitor client sales, ensure adequate inventory for settlement, and assist the trade desk with various tasks. Additionally, you are essential in maintaining efficient operations and supporting the growth of our business.
Job responsibilities
- Provide operational support for the Securities Lending and Cash Reinvestment Trading desks
- Monitor client sales, and ensure adequate inventory for settlement
- Assist the trade desk to recall or swap positions for proxy events, buffer management, equity rebalances and client transitions
- Monitor Securities Lending trades to ensure settlement, liaising directly with counterparties and agent banks
- Provide oversight and escalation support for Asia Pacific events - Corporate Actions and Manufactured Income
- Process and monitor of Reinvestment Desk trades to ensure settlement
- Ensure sufficient collateral is maintained at all times for the stock on loan in our Discretionary program, including cash and non-cash collateral, and bilateral repos reviewing and reporting on daily compliance data
- Provide metrics and associated commentary to senior operations managers
- Train and develop junior staff
- Focus and drive efficiencies, utilizing digital tools such as Alteryx, Xceptor, Tableau and Python
- Drive changes to the control and automation agendas
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- At least two years of experience in Securities Lending, Collateral Management, Settlements, or Trade Support
- Sound knowledge of Global Financial Markets
- Proven track record in a dynamic operations environment
- History of process improvements
- Good understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Exposure to digital tools like Alteryx, Xceptor, Tableau, and Python
- Understanding of custodian workflows
- Strong controls focus
