Job Description

Reporting to the Director, Government Relations & Engagement, Advocacy & Engagement, you will actively contribute to a high-performing team and drive impact by working productively and efficiently, collaborating closely with other Focus & Enabler areas and Corporate Services as part of our matrix structure and championing our One Minderoo Culture. Focusing where applicable on partners, stakeholders and beneficiaries to execute a content strategy aligned with Minderoo’s strategic goals, ensuring a First Nations perspectives are integrated into all levels of decision-making.

Qualifications

Key skills and experience will include: 

  • Build, strengthen and sustain a network of First Nations stakeholders
  • Foster a First Nations employees community group to provide a platform for support, collaboration, and the amplification of their voices for meaningful change
  • Apply a First Nations lens to Minderoo’s work at all stages, providing insights that elevate its relevance, effectiveness, and alignment with First Nations perspectives to our Focus Areas and Impact Missions
  • Elevate Minderoo’s positioning and connections with First Nations people, fostering trust and mutual respect.
  • Support Minderoo in attracting, mentoring and retaining First Nations employees whilst advocating for the benefits of First Nations employment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a First Nations strategy, addressing barriers to change with measurable and impactful solutions
  • Conduct research on relevant policy issues affecting First Nations communities, preparing briefings and updates for internal stakeholders
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and developments in First Nations business and broader community contexts.
  • Provide strategic advice, updates, and progress reports on First Nations initiatives to the engagement team and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute content strategies aligned with Organisation’s strategic goals, ensuring that First Nations perspectives are consistently prioritized.
  • Represent Minderoo at local meetings, conferences, and other relevant forums to enhance engagement with First Nations.
