About the role:

As an advocate for research, effectiveness and media measurement, the Market Research Specialist supports the development and execution of JCDecaux market research and advertising effectiveness studies. It incorporates project management, ensuring that ongoing research solutions are delivered with a high degree of quality as well as scoping new opportunities to constantly demonstrate how Out-of-Home advertising works. Relationship building and collaboration, both internally and with external partners/suppliers, is crucial to this role.

A Day in the Life:

Whilst there’s no typical day in the dynamic world of media, you can expect your role to involve the following:

  • Support ad-hoc JCDecaux research requirements, including our research community, working closely with the Group Manager
  • Support the development, management and execution of JCDecaux PROOF, our program of significant Out-of-Home effectiveness studies
  • Develop relationships with research suppliers and agencies
  • Build research presentations and present research findings to clients
  • Localise international research projects from JCDecaux’s global network
  • Actively manage our research knowledge, including maintenance of a library of case studies for access by the wider business
  • Regularly support the wider marketing team, notably with regards to innovation and new approaches to data, research and insights
  • Ideate research innovation and scope complex methodologies such as Media Mix Modelling

About You:

You’ll have experience within research or insights, gained in either agency, media owner or client side. Experience of advertising measurement and effectiveness, or a passion for learning further about this field will stand you in good stead.

  • Knowledge of quantitative and/or qualitative research methods, including survey writing
  • Data/numeric literacy – comfortable with large data sets
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • High level of competency in written and verbal communication
  • Internal and external relationship building
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing or equivalent
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • A passion for advertising effectiveness and the media industry
