Job Description

Rockwell Automation's AI Center of Excellence in Austin Texas has a position available for an imaginative data scientist with software development background. You are expected to design, develop, and deploy AI engines for condition-based monitoring and predictive maintenance in diverse set of industrial applications. Additionally, you will work with the operations teams. You will be reporting to the Director, Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and deploy effective AI engines for condition-based monitoring against multi-modal sensory inputs.
  • Architect AI solution for integration with real-time control loop in Industrial Automation applications.
  • Create required test scenarios/plans to ensure complete testing of AI solution and its components.
  • Collaborate with product owners and partners to ensure understanding of AI architecture with our priorities.
  • Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities to implement new technologies.
  • Help create a culture of openness and transparency.
  • Build strong relationships with technical and business stakeholders across the organization.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field
  • Strong programming skills, particularly in Python, and familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Solid understanding of deep learning especially transformers in unsupervised and supervised learning applications.
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related fields with a strong focus on AI and deep learning.
  • Typically requires minimum 5 years relevant experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Attention to detail, problem- solving skills.
  • Familiarity with edge computing for deploying AI models at the edge.
