Job Description
Key Responsibilities/Duties:
Perform the following Software Packaging and deployment activities as a part of the BAU:

Technical Source Review
-
Review Standard installation document and testing the source on Windows 10/11 VM’s & Servers and Apple MAC devices.
Windows OS:
-
Create MSI/MSIX Package using Installshield Adminstudio
-
Resolve ACE/ICE errors.
-
Test the packages on the required OS platforms and pass it to QA.
-
Upload the package to SCCM and moving the package to required Distribution Points.
-
Create packages/applications in MECM to accommodate per-machine/per-user deployment.
-
Enable the applications for self-serve via Software Center in Windows.
-
Enable the production package for 32bit/64bit OS in SCCM 2016/MECM if required.
-
Deploy Application and Packages using MECM.
-
Coordinate with application clients, receive a sign-off and promote the packages to production environment.
-
Share the deployment status report to the clients on demand.
-
Manage (Create/Modify) Task Sequences for various teams based on the business requirement.
-
Raise Software Packaging Requests on behalf of clients on-demand.
-
Software Packages Maintenance – Installation failures troubleshooting in both Windows workstations/Servers and MAC
-
Manage SCCM Client repairs/TSQ Updates/Software Center.
-
Create KBs on demand/Document the troubleshooting steps and the resolution mechanism for critical issues.
-
Good understanding on Application Vulnerability Remediation techniques involving software decommission and upgrades.
-
Good understanding on ITIL process – Incident, Change and Problem Management
-
Good understanding on Jira/Kanban best practices and awareness on Scrum methodologies.
-
Request/Incident Management though ServiceNow.
-
Customer centric approach while driving the BAU activities.
-
Automate the redundant/monotonous tasks wherever applicable.
Good to have:

Good understanding on the ServiceNow ticketing tool.
-
Knowledge on Winget tool.
-
Enabling the auto-updates of certain software titles via Winget.
MAC OS:
-
Creating packages targeting MAC Laptops.
-
Scoping the packages to the end user's machines via Jamf.
-
Configuring packages and policies via Jamf.
-
Enabling notifications to the apps regarding the updates/upgrades and EOL.
-
Manage all the software titles through Jamf Self-serve.
Work Experience:
10-12 years of experience in creating packages, virtualize and distribute/deploy applications using the standard packaging and virtualizing tools.
Well versed with Agile methodologies for an effective management of BAU work and track the progress on the initiatives/projects.
Software Repackaging Tools:
Installshield/Adminstudio 2021/2022, Composer for MAC
Knowledge on any other cloud packaging tool is a plus.
Software Deployment Tools:
Distribution using MECM/Intune – Advanced concepts of SCCM (Cloud)
Jamf for MAC
Troubleshooting Tools:
Filemon, Regmon, Picture taker, Orca etc.
Knowledge on XenApp/XenDesktop is an added advantage.
OS Platforms:
Workstations : Windows 10 64 bit & Windows 11
Servers : Windows 2016 & 2019
Apple Devices : MAC OS BigSur/Catalina
Scripting Knowledge:
VB Script, WMI and PowerShell is a MUST
Python is an added advantage.
Required Education and Experience:

Any bachelor’s degree and a candidate with the relevant work experience.
