About this role:
KDC is looking for an Administrative Coordinator (Safe Release Specialist) to provide administrative support to our Refugee and Immigration Division. The Safe Release Specialist’s primary responsibility is to perform fingerprinting of sponsors of unaccompanied children in our New Bedford office.
*This role does require the candidate to be bilingual in Spanish/English*
Schedule: Monday and Wednesday, 9 am - 5:30 pm
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in Spanish and English, required.
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in a relevant area of specialty, preferred.
- Two years’ general office experience, required.
- Valid Massachusetts Drivers’ License, required.
- Pass a state CORI, FBI check and CANS check per LIRS standards, required.
- Knowledge and skill in Excel, Outlook, Teams and other Microsoft Office suite software
The process includes:
- Arranging appointments and maintaining an up-to-date calendar of availability.
- When sponsors arrive for appointments, the Safe Release Specialist will greet them in the reception area and lead them to the digital fingerprint site.
- The Safe Release Specialist will help sponsors complete paperwork necessary for the fingerprinting and perform the physical fingerprinting.
- The Safe Release Specialist is also responsible for handling walk-in sponsors in accordance with the fingerprint calendar.
- May serve as an interpreter when language skills are applicable for case services.
- Follow all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
- Maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA standards.

Kennedy-Donovan Center supports people with developmental delays, disabilities or family challenges to pursue their personal potential and success in the community.
We fulfill our mission through a number of programs, which we offer in several regions: Early Intervention (EI), Early Intervention Partnerships, Healthy Families, KDC School (a 240-day developmental day school), Day Habilitation Services, Family Support Services/ Respite Care, Intensive Foster Care, and Transitional Job Support, as well as various residential support programs: Shared Living, Adult Family Care, Supported and Supervised Living, and Individual Support.
Each year, our diverse and dedicated staff of 600+ employees and 300 respite home care providers and foster parents, serves over 10,000 children, adults and families with (or at risk for) developmental disabilities or delays, and their families. We meet the needs of disabled individuals and their families throughout their life – from pregnancy, infancy, and childhood, into adulthood and the senior years.
