Talent acquisition duties include communicating and promoting a welcoming family-like culture for our applicants, candidates, and employees. You will oversee our full-cycle recruiting. Responsibilities include sourcing candidates through various channels, scheduling interviews, sharing important information about our company and expectations for the interview, and leading interview sessions for a variety of roles. To be successful in this role, you should be able to develop long-term recruiting strategies and nurture trusting relationships with potential hires. You will carry new hires from application all the way through to their first day of training. Ultimately, you will create strong talent pipelines for our company’s current and future hiring needs.
Onboarding duties include helping new employees adjust well to our work environment. You will continue to communicate company and position details to new hires before their start date as you have done already through the interview process. You will work with the HR department to verify all paperwork has been received. You will coordinate the shipment of the new hire’s equipment, as well as conduct a tech check prior to the new hire’s start date;
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with leadership team to identify staffing needs
- Forecast quarterly and annual hiring needs by department
- Be familiar with interview plans and selection procedures, including one way video interviews, assessments and virtual interviews
- Assess candidate information, including resumes and contact details, using our Applicant Tracking System
- Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events
- Foster long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates
- Acquire hiring approval from Administration for selected candidates
- Gather and process paperwork, like contracts and non-disclosure agreements
- Send offer letters (via ATS)
- Navigate counteroffers with guidance from leadership
- Conduct background check and drug screening (via ATS)
- Send new employee onboarding link (via email)
- Address new hires’ queries regarding their contracts and payroll
- Send emails with information about the company and position, including work schedules and other expectations
- Coordinate shipment of onboarding kits
- Inform employees on their first tasks (e.g. which programs to download, websites to bookmark, and login credentials)
- Conduct a pre-hire tech check in which you ensure new hires have properly set up their hardware and software
- Maintain staff records
- Proven work experience as a Healthcare Administrator, Medical Office Manager and/or Talent Acquisition Specialist or similar role preferred
- Experience with administrative and accounting procedures
- Familiarity with databases and spreadsheets (especially MS Excel)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Communication skills with a problem-solving attitude
- Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting
- Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs), specifically Workable
- Familiarity with social media, resume databases and professional networks
- A keen understanding of the differences between various roles within organizations
- BS degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration, with a qualification in healthcare preferred
- BSc in Human Resources Management or relevant field preferred
