JOB PURPOSE:
• This role involves providing administration and technical support for production systems. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Web technologies specially IIS and tomcat.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Monitor and maintain all aspects of production systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Carry on administrative and configuration tasks such as patching, log analysis, deployments, performance tuning
• Participate in DR drills and projects related to the domain
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement solutions and prevent future problems.
• Adhering to service level agreements (SLAs) and operational objectives.
· Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
Technical qualifications:
· More than 5 years of experience in supporting and operating production environments using various Microsoft technologies.
· Hands on experience with administration and configuration tasks of at least two of the following IIS, Apache Tomcat, Apache web server, SharePoint or relevant web technologies.
· Hands on experience with .Net and Azure devops is a plus
· Experience with troubleshooting tools and techniques.
· Knowledge of infrastructure components and systems, including operating systems (Linux, Windows), networking, and security
· Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems
· Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and IT service management processes, particularly incident, problem, and change management
