This is an exciting opportunity for a Digital Technology Infrastructure Sr Systems Administrator to join the EMEA Infrastructure team in Blagnac, France to perform systems and security administration tasks primarily for, but not limited to the DNET 2.0 operations environment hosted at the site.
The EMEA infrastructure operations model broadly comprises the run-and-maintain of production infrastructure environments (circa 75% full-time equivalency), including support for related projects, initiatives, and service improvements (circa 25% full-time equivalency).

Key Responsibilities
The EMEA Infrastructure Service Framework comprises functional practices of strategy, design, operations, transition, delivery, and improvement. All System Administrators primarily operate within service operations, transition, and improvement. Supported by the Country, Delivery, and Design focal for alignment to the other service practices.
Service Operations
-
Perform event management tasks, such as monitoring of production systems for unexpected events for 1st level correlation and remedial action.

Perform incident management tasks, such as acknowledgement of user-initiated incidents assigned to the EMEA Infrastructure resolver group, and to affect resolution within predefined service levels based on incident priority.

Perform request management tasks, such as acknowledgement of user-initiated requests assigned to the EMEA Infrastructure resolver group, and to affect fulfilment within predefined service levels based on request priority.

Perform problem management tasks, such as supporting major incident management and identifying root-cause and implementing corrective actions for service improvement.

Perform access management tasks, such as provisioning of user accounts and role permissions for applicable supported environments.

Perform technical-RUN tasks per the list, but not limited to the following: -

Diagnose and resolve issues related to technical difficulties with hardware, software on VxRail environment.
-
Monitor daily IT operations and respond to any alerts.
-
Install and configure new virtual servers.
-
Configure and update Windows server systems.
-
Manage file, print, IIS, MS SQL, Remote Desktop services
-
Communicate plan, progress, and issues in a timely manner.
-
Keep detailed ticket notes throughout the lifecycle of the issue.

Develop and maintain technical documentation of systems.
-
Track, prioritize and document requests using an IT support request system.
-
Actively contribute to ongoing process improvement.

Maintain strict confidentiality.
-
Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
Service Transition
-
Perform planning tasks for timely transition of built and tested infrastructure into production service.
-
Perform change management tasks, such as planning standard, normal, and emergency changes, including representation of the technical strategy per normal change procedure at the respective RTX and, or Collins Change Authority Boards (CABs) for appropriate authorisation and stakeholder awareness.

Perform configuration management tasks, such as maintaining infrastructure configuration items within the Master Compute List and, or ServiceNow CMDB for tracking and reporting.

Perform release management tasks, such as planning, testing, and communicating new or upgraded infrastructure for integration with production operations.

Perform validation management tasks, such as supporting component-level, or system-integration, or user-acceptance testing strategies for integration of new or upgraded infrastructure with production operations.

Perform evaluation management tasks, such as supporting infrastructure service reviews for continual improvement.
-
Perform knowledge management tasks, such as supporting technical content-authoring of knowledge base articles, standard work documents, service maturity documents, and more.
Service Improvement
-
Perform process-level tasks such as contributing to service process mapping, service definitions, and more.
-
Perform measurement-level tasks such as validation of service level agreements and key performance indicators, including that of service providers for affecting service operations.

Perform quality-level tasks such as validation of service quality plans and contributing to benefits-analysis of infrastructure services.

Perform continual improvements by supporting the implementation of service improvement plans and initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Educated to an associate degree level, or higher in a suitable digital / IT discipline; or of comparative experience of 5 years or more in a similar field.
Digital / Information Technology experience within the Aerospace industry, or of a similar engineering or manufacturing environment; including exposure to highly regulated military and, or export-controlled environments.
Customer focused (internal & external) with strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to converse in French and English, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently within a matrixed and dynamic organisational environment.
Technical adept with experience in administration of Windows Server (2016+) and VMWare Hypervisor operating environments.
