ADAS Algorithm Developer

Summary

We are currently looking for Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) / Automated Driving (AD) algorithm developers to work in our Troy, MI location.  The successful candidate will be responsible for developing cutting edge technology for ADAS / AD systems.

This position is part of our Advanced Safety & User Experience. Visa sponsorship may be available for this position.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Develop algorithms for ADAS / AD applications e.g. Adaptive Cruise Control, Intelligent Speed Assistance, Collision Avoidance, Hands-Off Highway Assist
• Test in vehicle, perform data analysis, and debug in rapid-prototyping and / or embedded environment
• Verify the design, assess and optimize the performance in simulated and real-world environments
• Document and report according to established development processes

Need to Haves (Basic Qualifications)

• Master's degree in Electrical / Computer / Mechanical Engineering, Robotics or relevant field
• 2+ years’ experience in ADAS / AD algorithm design and implementation
• Proficiency in developing and implementing algorithms in MATLAB / Simulink / Stateflow
• Knowledge of numerical methods, vehicle dynamics and classical control theory

Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications)

• PhD in Electrical / Computer / Mechanical Engineering, Robotics or relevant field
• 5+ years’ experience in ADAS / AD algorithm design and implementation
• Real-world L2 or higher level automated driving system development
• Working knowledge of ASPICE, Agile / AutoScrum, ISO26262 and SOTIF
• Working knowledge of Version Control tools, Work Management tools (e.g. JIRA), Requirement and Configuration Management tools
• Knowledge of statistical methods and modern control theory
• Experience with C / C++ and Python
• Experience with rapid prototyping environment like dSPACE / ControlDesk
• Experience with data analysis and calibration tools like Vector CANoe, Vector CANape, ETAS INCA
