Job Description

The Nordstrom Media Network Ad Operations team is looking for an Ad Ops Specialist dedicated to digital media activation across Nordstrom properties. In this role, you will provide exceptional client services to our portfolio of top retail brands. As a key member, you will coordinate display and DCO campaigns, utilizing Google Ad Manager, Innervate, or other ad tech platforms to deliver various media formats.

A Day in the Life

As an Ad Ops Specialist, you will leverage your digital media management skills and work with minimal supervision to excel in the following tasks:

· Campaign Management: Oversee the launch of display and DCO campaigns. This includes frequent communication with account managers and active participation in weekly check-ins to ensure alignment and progress.

· Media Activation: Respond promptly to media activation tickets to ensure the timely collection of assets and distribution of deliverables to maintain workflow efficiency.

· Creative Support: Use appropriate ad specifications to qualify assets, build and stage creative content, and facilitate communication through proofing and approval processes.

· Tracking and Ranking: Create UTM tracking links and confirm product rankings on landing pages to optimize campaign effectiveness.

· Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough QA checks, activate campaigns in Google Ad Manager (GAM) or Innervate (DCO); distribute screenshots to confirm successful launches.

· Monitoring and Reporting: Keep a close eye on campaign pacing, identify ad server anomalies, monitor inventory status changes to ensure smooth operations, and compile delivery reports to confirm completion.

· Cross-Functional Communication: Clearly articulate and provide guidance on creative, delivery, or forecasting issues, fostering collaboration with sales and account management teams to achieve positive outcomes.

You’re a Great Fit If You Have

· Experience and Knowledge: A minimum of 2 years of experience in advertising, with a solid understanding of the advertising business and technology landscape.

· Technical Proficiency: Preferably, experience with third-party ad tech tools such as Google Ad Manager, Innervate, Placements.io, SalesForce, as well as third-party productivity tools like Workfront, Trello, Google Drive, and SharePoint.

· Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related discipline is preferred.

· Organizational Skills: Strong ability to stay organized and maintain a high level of attention to detail, even in fast-paced environments.

· Problem-Solving Abilities: Resourcefulness in recommending solutions and solving problems under pressure.

· Adaptability: Capacity to handle peak demand during scaled event periods, such as during the “Holiday season” and “Anniversary Sale”.

· Collaborative Spirit: Ability to build and maintain cross-functional relationships with teams in sales, account management, creative, copy writing, product, engineering, audience, analytics, and business operations/strategy.

· Technical Understanding: A technical background with knowledge of ad technology, HTML, and spreadsheet management, including experience with publisher-side or retail media networks.

· Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas and information.
