What it’s like to be a Northbridge Actuarial Analyst, Corporate Actuary

Our Actuarial Analysts are known in the organization for being the experts in providing insights to many teams, including claims, finance, and underwriting; allowing us the ability to best serve our customers while mitigating risk. They use their strong actuarial knowledge to ensure our reserves are not only adequate to protect our customers in their time of need, but are also able to draw out the claims insights to help our colleagues in making important operational decisions.

They are passionate about digging deep into the data and providing their opinion of what we should be doing – this doesn’t just mean being good with numbers – it also means being able to explain these numbers to leaders without an actuarial background.

Working in collaboration with other actuaries and data scientists within our team, there is the opportunity for developing new reserving methodologies and utilizing new tools to ensure that Northbridge stays on the cutting edge in this competitive industry.

We want your talent

If you are great at:

• Being naturally curious to understand the story behind the numbers
• Researching, developing, and implementing new, efficient, and optimal approaches to reserving and stress testing
• Collaborating with teammates to ensure proper communication of observed trends to drive appropriate action

If you have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Finance
• On the Casualty Actuarial Society exam track
• Experience with SQL, Excel, and PowerBI
• Reserving experience
• Moody’s Risk Integrity and Accounting knowledge is an asset
