Position Overview: Flender South Africa Sales Department is seeking a proactive and driven Accounts Manager to join our team with a focus on maintaining and growing relationships with clients. The Accounts Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing customers, and meeting sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with potential high-value clients.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals.
- Achieve and exceed own individual sales targets on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products and services to key clients.
- Work with the business development team to create and execute strategies for expanding the customer base.
- Provide ongoing support and consultation to allocated customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for growth.
- Report on sales performance, account status, and market insights to senior management.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Internal sales, Order management, finance, engineering and quality) to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
- Participate in marketing and customer event shows
- Maintain all sales and customer information on the CRM systems
- Conduct and facilitate customer product training
- Required to travel into Africa to develop allocated country
- Additional duties from time-to-time as prescribe by Line Manager
Qualifications:
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent tertiary qualification
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Qualified Trade tested Fitter would be an advantage
- Minimum 5 years proven track record in sales, accounts management, or business development within the Industrial Gearbox industry
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g. Sales forces) and sales tracking tools is a plus.
