Job Summary
The Accounting Supervisor will effectively supervise accounting department activities to ensure that timely processing of payments occurs to result in a high level of customer service for internal and external customers
This position is located at our corporate office is Marietta, PA. Preferred candidates will reside in areas surrounding the Marietta, PA office.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Coach, counsel and lead staff to achieve a high level of customer service
- Monitor workflow to ensure that payments are processed in an efficient and timely manner
- Monitor employees to ensure that customers are treated courteously
- Responsible for the daily processing of payments
- Oversee the orientation and training of newly hired staff to ensure they become a productive member of the staff
- Allocate resources to ensure that the work processes are innovative, efficient, and cost effective, enabling the department to meet the customer service needs and minimize operating expense
- Specialize in problem solving of complex situations which results in excellent customer service for internal and external customers
- Address all performance issues utilizing the Corrective Action Process when necessary
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or GED equivalent required. Associates degree preferred.
- 3 or more years supervisory experience in a customer service or accounting function
- Strong supervisory skills, ability to lead and motivate non-exempt workforce
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interface with all levels of management
- Possess strong analytical skills, ability to solve problems quickly and decisively
Starting Pay: The pay range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 annually. The specific offer will vary based on an applicant's education, qualifications, professional experience, skills, abilities, and any applicable designations/certifications. The posted pay range reflects our ability to hire at different position titles and levels depending on background and experience. The pay range may also be adjusted based on an applicant's geographic location.
The base pay is just one component of Donegal's total compensation package for employees. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
